BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) is a privately owned engineering college founded in 1946, nestled in the heart of Bangalore, India. Having a legacy spanning 74 years, the institution has produced 40,000 engineers, who’re adding value with marvels of both nature and technology.
Initially, there were only 03 undergraduate courses. Today, BMS College of Engineering offers 13 undergraduate courses and 16 post-graduate courses in emerging and conventional areas.

Admission Process
BMS College of Engineering starts the admission process typically in February. Admissions for MBA and MCA kick-starts in January every year.
The mode of admission was offline only. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic rattling the usual order of business, an online admission model has later been introduced.
UG Courses:
- Admissions through KCET/COMED-K scores.
- For BArch, scores obtained in NATA/JEE Mains Paper 2 are considered.
- Admissions in B. Tech and B. Arch courses through management quota.
- Lateral entry for the BE program available.
PG Courses
- A bachelor’s degree from a certified college is a must for admissions in PG courses.
- Admissions in M. Tech and M. Arch courses through GATE or PGCET of Karnataka.
- Valid scores in CMAT / KMAT / PGCET / MAT are necessary for MBA programs.
- For the MCA program, students must clear KMAT / PGCET exam.
PhD and MSc
Courses
- Admission in PhD & MSc programs depends on scores obtained in University-conducted entrance exam (VTU-ETR)
- Candidates who’ve qualified UGC/NET, UGC-CSIR NET, SLET, GATE, or CAT are exempted from the entrance exam.
