The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore was established in 1999. It is a deemed university also known as IIITB. The Government of Karnataka and the IT industry jointly fund the institute as IIITB is a registered not-for-profit society.

What's unique to IIITB is that they offer an opportunity to class 12th pass outs to apply for the Master's programme in Information technology. Below are the other courses offered by IIITB: 1.MTech in Computer Science & Engineering 2.MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering 3.Integrated Mtech (iMTech) Integrated MTech is a programme under which successful students get dual degrees that is BTech and MTech, at the end of 5 years. 4.Masters of Science in Digital Society In addition to this, it also offers the Master of Science by Research/ Doctor of Philosophy.

IIIT Bangalore BTech Admission 2021

Eligibility criteria and the application process varies for different courses.

1.iMTech

Admission to iMTech programmes is through JEE Main Exam only. The institute will announce admission to iMtech for the academic year 2021-22 in July 2021. You can apply for admission online through IIITB official website. The application fee is Rs 1000. For any queries regarding admission, you may reach out to admissions-imtech@iiitb.ac.in.

2.MTech in ECE/ CSE

Admission to MTech in ECE & CSE is through GATE scores. You can apply for admission online via https://iiitb.nopaperforms.com/. The application fee is Rs 1000. The last date to apply online is 31st May 2021.

3.Master of Science (Digital Society)

You are eligible for admission to the Master of Science (Digital Society) if you have passed an undergraduate degree in arts, science, commerce, design, management, law, engineering with first class. In addition to this, you will be exempt from the written test at IIIT Bangalore if you have a valid score in CAT 2020, CEED 2021, CUCET 2021 or TISS NET 2021. You can apply online via https://erp.iiitb.net/applynow/#/. The application fee is Rs 1000. The last date to apply online is 15th June 2021.

4.Master of Science by Research/ Doctor of Philosophy

To apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program, you must have a master degree and attempt a national entrance test or domain-specific entrance exam at IIIT Bangalore before the interview. You can apply online via https://pravesh.iiitb.ac.in/.The application fee is Rs 1000. IIITB Scholarships

International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore offers merit-based and need-based scholarships to deserving students. Below are the scholarships offered by IIITB:

1.Utkarsha Scholarship 2020

Under this scheme, IIITB awards a 100% tuition fee waiver to five top JEE rank holders joining integrated Mtech courses.

 

2.Scholarships for the MTech programme

Industry-funded scholarships for 2021 for meritorious students joining MTech programmes expected.

 

3.Master for Science (Digital Society) Scholarships

(i)A scholarship amount of Rs 12400 per month for a maximum of 4 semesters is available to 20 students joining in July 2021.

(ii)Additionally, the institute also gives a stipend of Rs 15,000 to 25,000 per month during the last six months of the programme while the students work on internship/ thesis.

 

4.Master of Science by Research/ Doctor of Philosophy

(i)A fellowship of Rs 20,000 per month is available to full-time Master of Science by Research/ Master of Science (Research) students.

(ii)A fellowship of RS 38,500 per month till completion of a comprehensive exam is available to full-time Doctor of Philosophy students. And Rs 43,500 per month for a maximum of 3 years is available after completing the comprehensive exam.
