What is NSP Scholarship?

NSP stands for National Scholarship Portal. As the name explains, the NSP portal is an online portal where about 100+ scholarships are listed. Here you can check the eligibility for each scholarship and apply for the one that fits your needs. Later we will also discuss how to filter suitable scholarships for you. There is an automated process for this because reviewing each scholarship's eligibility one by one will take a lot of time and effort. Every year NSP distributes scholarships worth thousands of crores. NSP allocated ₹2,500 crores of scholarships this year. And not only this, the portal sees an influx of 110 lakh applications, out of which it has 85 lakh verified applications. The best part about NSP is that the portal helps in the direct disbursement of your scholarship to your bank account. You can also track your payments and apply for the renewal of your scholarship.

AICTE NSP Scholarship Schemes

The All India Council For Technical Education is an entity of the Ministry Of Human Resource Development. Operating for a few decades, it is responsible for planning and developing technical and management courses in India. However, apart from its regular responsibilities, AICTE also encompasses a few NSP scholarships. These NSP portal scholarships mainly concentrate on girl child and differently-abled students.

UGC or University Grants Commission is another significant body of the Ministry Of Human Resource Development. UGC is responsible for giving recognition to colleges and universities. State Scholarship Schemes

Education is a matter of concern for the government, be it state governments or central government. Thus, like central government, state governments also offer many scholarship schemes. Although most state governments have their own scholarship portals, few states prefer to use NSP Scholarship Portal to distribute and apply for scholarships. How To Check For Eligibility Status?

So, finally time for checking which schemes you are eligible for. NSP hosts 100+ scholarships, and it isn't easy to check eligibility for every scholarship. Therefore, to ensure easy access to scholarships, there is a tool on the website. Let's see how to use it:

1. Go to the official website and click on the Services tab in the menu.
2. Now, choose Scheme Eligibility from the drop-down menu.
3. Fill the form that appears next and click on Check Eligibility.
4. And now, you will have a list of all the schemes you are eligible to apply for. No need to spend hours going through every scholarship scheme!

How To Apply For NSP Scholarship?

It is easy to apply for NSP Scholarship, and we will see the process in detail below. But before you can apply for the scholarships, the first step is to check whether your school, college, or ITI is on NSP Portal's list; without that, you cannot avail of any scholarship.

How To Check Whether Institution Is Listed Or Not?

1. On the homepage, click the "Search For Institute" button.
2. Complete the form that appears next and submit it.
3. Now search for your institution from the list.
4. If your institution is not on the list, click here to add it to the list. Remember having your institution on the list is the first step to apply for a scholarship.

Once your institution is on the list, next get yourself registered on the portal.

How To Register Yourself On NSP Portal?

1. Go to Home Page and click on the "New Registration" button.
2. Next, a page with guidelines for registration will open. Understand the policies entirely and click on 'Continue' when you are thorough with them.
3. Fill the form that appears next and click 'Register'.
4. Once done, you will receive your application ID and Password on the mobile number that you just entered in the form.

Once registered, you need to log in with the credentials you just received on your mobile.

How To Login Into NSP Scholarship Portal?

NSP Login is a 2 step process.

1. From the NSP Portal home screen click on 'Login' and then Fresh Login 2023-24.
2. Now enter the application ID, password, and Captcha and click the Login button.

Next, the portal will direct you to a window where you need to change your password. And it is mandatory to change your password for your security.

How To Change The Password?

1. Once you log in for the first time, you will receive an OTP. Enter this OTP in the following appearing dialogue box.
2. After verifying the OTP, you will get a prompt to change the password.
3. Here enter the new password and click on 'Continue'.

After changing your password, the NSP Portal will direct you to the dashboard to fill the NSP scholarship application.

How to Fill the NSP Scholarship Application?

1. After arriving at the dashboard, click on the Application Form on the left side panel.
2. Now fill in all the required details and click Save & Continue.
3. Then add all other information like your contact number and address, scheme details, and documents, etc.
4. Now, click 'Save As Draft'. You can check the information you have filled in the form. Once you are sure you are correct, click 'Final Submit'.

Which Major Documents Necessary For NSP Scholarship Application?

We know collecting documents and uploading them is a difficult task. But here is good news. If your scholarship is worth less than ₹50,000, you do not need to submit any documents online. Those students need only submit their papers to their institution. But for the rest of the students, you need to upload the required documents, and they are as follows:

1. Aadhaar number
2. Education certificates and documents
3. Bank Passbook
4. Income Certificate(if required)
5. Domicile Certificate (if needed)
6. Caste Certificate (if needed)
7. Bonafide Student Certificate from your institute

Once you submit your application, you will need to know whether it got accepted or not. Thus, below is how you check whether you are on the list or not.

How to Check NSP Scholarship Status?

1. You must go to the home page and click on the New Registration button.
2. Now click Scheme Wise Scholarship Sanctioned List and fill in the details of the scheme, ministry, your name, mobile number, etc. and click on Submit.
3. As soon as you click submit, a list of qualifying candidates will appear. And we hope that you find your name there!
