List of students admitted to various UG and PG programs during the academic years 2019-20 are available for corrections if any, at https://prexamblr.vtu.ac.in for Bengaluru Region and https://prexam.vtu.ac.in for Belagavi, Kalaburagi and Mysuru regions through departmental login in pre examination application. The user manual for the entire process is also available. The Principals of constituent and affiliated engineering colleges are requested to instruct the concerned to make the changes if any, in the name, father name, gender and  category of students admitted to various UG/PG programs during the academic year 2019-20 on or before 21st March 2020.
Further, if there are no changes the same should be indicated by submitting the form.

VTU Name Correction Documents to be submitted for Change of Name in University records

With reference to the above, this is to inform that the students and parents of the students who wish to change their name in the records of the University shall submit the following documents and information.

a. Application mentioning the intention for changing the name

b. Publication in two leading newspapers and

c. An affidavit on stamp paper of Rs. 20 signed before Notary

d. Processing fee of Rs.500 (fee to be online on VTU web portal) However, for correction in marks cards, grade cards and other documents the student has to apply to Registrar(Evaluation), VTU, Belagavi separately.

This circular supersedes all the previous circulars in this regard.

 

(1)Issue of Name Correction in Marks card

Documents required

i. Self attested photocopies of SSLC marks card

ii. Online receipt of fees paid

iii. Original marks cards Fees:Rs.200 per Marks card

 

VTU Name Correction procedure (Name Correction in Marks cards)

Steps:

(1)Fill the below details in the name change application form

• Name of Student(As on Marks Cards)
• University Seat Number
• Old USN (if USN changed)
• Details of fees paid for name correction: Select category "F- Fees to be paid by student"-Examination from the drop down, Enter Payment ID and Payment date.
• In Correction to be incorporated section- Mention your name and your Father's name in capital letters (as printed in marks card) and the correct name in To be corrected as.
• In checklist tick mark all the 4 options-I declare that I have not studied in Autonomous College, Enclose self attested photocopies of SSLC marks card, Online receipt of fees paid and Original marks cards.
• Enter your Name, Mobile number, Date and sign against Candidate Signature.

(2)Pay fees of Rs 200 online only by SBI Payment link http://vtu.ac.in/online-fee-payment and enclose Online Receipt of fees paid

(3)You can either apply by post or by hand

a. If you apply by Post

Send the filled and signed application form and online receipt of fees paid to the following address:

b. If Applying by Hand (In person at VTU Belagavi)

Apply before 12:30 pm.

Documents will be issued on the same day after 4:30 pm on all working days.

Second Saturday of the month is a holiday, other Saturdays are full working days.

(2)Issue of Name Correction in Degree certificate

Documents required

i. Self attested photocopies of SSLC marks card

ii. Online receipt of fees paid

iii. Original Degree Certificate Fees:Rs. 2000 per Degree certificate + Rs. 200 late fee for each year VTU Name Correction procedure (Name Correction in Degree certificate)

(1)Fill the below details in the name correction form (degree certificate)

• Name of Student(As on Marks Cards)
• University Seat Number
• Old USN (if USN changed)
• Details of fees paid for name correction: Select category "F- Fees to be paid by student"-Examination from the drop down, Enter Payment ID and Payment date.
• In Correction to be incorporated section- Mention your name and your Father's name in capital letters (as printed in marks card) and the correct name in To be corrected as.
• In checklist tick mark all the 4 options-I declare that I have not studied in Autonomous College, Enclose self attested photocopies of SSLC marks card, Online receipt of fees paid and Original Degree certificate.

(2)Pay fees of Rs 2000 + Rs 200 per each year online only by SBI Payment via link http://vtu.ac.in/online-fee-payment and enclose Online Receipt of fees paid

(3)You can either apply by post or by hand

a. If you apply by Post

Points to be noted

• DDs are not accepted
• Fees paid once cannot be refunded.
