VTU readmission for 2022-23 dates have been announced. Students seeking readmission to any semester is allowed to apply by complying with the Regulations of VTU.

Follow the below steps to apply for VTU Readmission:
1. Fill the Re-admission Application form as per the prescribed format.
2. Pay your readmission fees online via www.vtu.ac.in.
3. Submit your filled application along with your fee receipt to your College.
4. The College Principal will send all the applications to the University either through courier or post to The Registrar, VTU Belagavi or send email to academic.vtu@gmail.com.

VTU has announced syllabus equivalence for students joining 3rd semester of 2018 scheme from 2015/ 2017 scheme. This is applicable for all students taking readmission to 3rd semester of 2018 scheme during the academic year 2020-21.

VTU Schemes for academic year 2020-21 announced.VTU recently updated on schemes offered and the those that are to be studied by Regular, Readmission and Repeater students. This brings more clarity to the students on schemes that is to be studied by them. In addition to this, vtu also provides an update on the admission of year back students. Furthermore, student seeking admission to higher semester can register with the University through its portal.VTU will be notifing the registration procedure on a later date. For now lets see the updated VTU Schemes 2020-21
1.All readmissions and repeater admissions are subject to maximum duration as per their year of admission to programme.
2.Readmissions and repeater admissions will not claim any additional benefits.
3.They are governed by the applicable regulations of the University.

1.The students are permitted to take admission to 3/5/7/9 semesters with any number of backlog subjects, provided
The above facility is provided only for admission to higher semester during the academic year 2020-2021 and the students are required to gain eligibility to respective higher semesters while taking admission during the academic year 2021-2022.
2.The students who have taken admission to B.E./B.Tech. during the academic year 2017 -2018 and not become eligible to 3rd semester may seek readmission to 1st semester under 2018 scheme and such students are not permitted to take admission to 3rd semester during the academic year 2020-2021.
1.The students are required to opt subjects from only one group i.e. either A or B at 3rd/ 4th semester level.
2.Opting subjects from both A and B groups in a semester is not permitted.
3.If required, the students may be divided into two groups and each group may be given different group of subjects like how the Physics and Chemistry cycle subjects are offered during 1st year.
If the student registers for 18KVK - Vyvaharika Kannada (Samskrutika Kannada)/ Adalitha Kannada (Balake Kannada) in 3rd semester, he/she has to register for 18CPC- Constitution of India Professional Ethics and Cyber Law during 4th semester and vice-versa for 4th semester.
1.Each and every student seeking admission to higher semester shall register with the University through its portal.
2.A separate procedure for online registration will be notified shortly.
3.College shall maintain proper records of all above students.
4.In case if the students does not register for the semester, admission for the semester will be invalid.

VTU Schemes to be studied by higher semester Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech.)students during the academic year 2019-20.
Pursuant to aforesaid Executive Council resolutions, the following is informed in respect of students shifting from old scheme to new scheme during the academic year 2019-2020:
1.Irrespective of any scheme studied at lower level, students are permitted to study in present i.e. 2018 scheme.
2.The credits earned in 1st year(I and II semester) will be proportionately reduced so to be in line with 2018 scheme.
1.Students admitted to 2015 scheme(2015 admitted regular students and 2016 admitted regular and lateral entry students and 2017 lateral entry students)2017 scheme(2017 admitted regular students and 2018 admitted lateral entry students) are required to adhere to the following requirements:
a.Students of 2015 Scheme as detailed above are to continue in 2015 scheme only. The CIE will be Maximum of 20 Marks and SEE will be Maximum of 80 Marks (please refer regulations for more details / clarity)
b.Students of 2017 Scheme as detailed above are to continue in 2017 scheme only. The CIE will be Maximum of 40 Marks and SEE will be Maximum of 60 Marks (please refer regulations for more information)
c.Colleges must conduct parallel classes for such students and assess as per respective schemes.
d.The Semester End Examination (SEE) will be different for 2015 scheme and 2017 scheme. The students will appear for SEE as per applicable & respective scheme question papers .
e.The Colleges are informed to be very careful and meticulous in conducting and forwarding CIE marks and filing of examination application forms. A notification w.r.t examination related matters will be issued separately by Registrar(Evaluation), VTU, Belagavi .
1.2010 Scheme Students to be continued in 2010 scheme only
2.Colleges must conduct parallel classes
3.IA and Examination marks will be as per 2010 scheme regulations.
1.The above directions must be read along with applicable regulations.
2.The students attending parallel classes will be under respective regulations .

Note:
For students covered under(1) and (2):
a.All students under 2018 scheme shall follow 2018 scheme Regulations , Scheme of teaching and examinations, and syllabus.
b.For readmitted and repeater students from any other scheme, the maximum duration will be counted from the year of their admission to the programme and not from the year of readmission.
c.Additional and Exempted courses are as shown in the above table. Satisfactory Attendance, successful completion of CIE and SEE are compulsory.
d.Students have to successfully complete the additional courses to become eligible to seek admission to 7th semester.
e.Students having I semester backlog courses of previous scheme shall have to reappear and clear such courses and such courses are considered for eligibility as per vertical progression.
f.If the students have studied and passed the courses a)Constitution of India and Profession Ethics or b) Environmental Studies at I semester level, then 01 credit shall be awarded to such subject in the corresponding semester of 2018 scheme. In case, they have not completed the above mentioned course, then they have to pass the same in the respective scheme (2017).
g.Irrespective of the credits of the passed courses of previous schemes, each course shall be assigned with the credits of 2018 scheme so as to be on par with the 2018 scheme.

1.The above directions must be read along with regulations.
2.The students joining 2018 scheme at 1st year level will be under 2018 regulations only.
3.Maximum duration is as per applicable Regulations and Notifications issued by the University from time to time.

With reference to circular dated 25th June 2019, VTU has enclosed herewith the APPLICATION FOR READMISSION FOR B.E. /B.TECH . / B.ARCH ./B.Plan.
1. Shortage of Attendance
2. Rejection of results
3. Temporary Discontinuation
4. Readmission to I semester with revised USN (if not gained eligibility to join III semester after three years from date of first admission).

2. Fee for category 1 to 3 above: Rs 5,000/- (to be paid online through VTU payment gateway)
3. Fee for Category 4 above : Rs 5,000 + Registration and other fee
4. Date of submission:
a) Without late fee: The Applications complete in all respect shall be submitted to the University within 10 days from commencement of respective odd semester as notified by the University .
b) With late fee of Rs 5000/- per student: within 15 days from commencement of respective odd semester as notified by the University.
5. If more number of students are applying for readmission , the consolidated list bundled separately for each category (Shortage of Attendance/ Rejection of results/ Temporary Discontinuation / Readmission to I semester with revised USN) along with requisite fee and documents shall be submitted.
6. No student/parent shall be sent to University after due date.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) with reference to the previous official VTU circular dated 15-07-2017 which mentions about inviting application forms for readmission to odd/even semester for the academic year 2017-2018. Adverting to the above, the Principals of all the colleges are hereby informed to submit the application for readmission for Even semester for the academic year 2017-18 as per the formats and documents already informed vide above referred circular .
The last date to receive the readmission applications for even semester for the academic year 2017-18 is as given below:
